Knifeladder Official
From the official:
"Knifeladder was formed by John Murphy and Andrew Trail in 1998 as a result of a chance meeting in Temple Underground Station. Knifeladder uses hand played electronics, tribal military drums, ethnic instrumentation, found sound and heavily sonic bass to create a form of Organic Industrial Music. Using rhythmic ritual repetitions, jarring angular sounds and frantic primal energies, Knifeladder has found a home outside of standard genre definitions of noise/folk/experimental to be everything and nothing to do with conventional approaches to avant rock music"

Any help with track titles will be greatly appreciated.
Below quote taken from strangeglue. Please do follow the link for the full article as well as other takes on the Supersonic experience.
"Perhaps the Sun City Girls would be the closest comparison in terms of the energy they gave out, crossed with some Captain Beefheart and some homebrew Pagan rituals. Their cult-like behaviour and garb straddled the boundary between comedy and austerity, much like the music. It resulted in some music which I imagine has a lot of depth and power over the imagination."
Images from Stu Green's Flickr.
Do follow the link for other Supersonic images, well done.

The Threshold HouseBoys Choir Equinox Audio
Image taken by and thankfully given permission for its use by JPaul23. Do check out the gorgeous Flickr he has!
Headlining Sunday evening at The Equinox Festival from 14 June 2009, this is The Threshold HouseBoys Choir. Sleazy giving an "Introductory Course On The Subject Of Belief". Beyond any words I can muster, please check out ThresholdHouse for updates. All musicks save the last full track are from the Amulet Edition, currently still available through TH. The new track is stunningly beautiful. I sat and listened to it this morning while greeting the sun. Proper.
Thank you to Burial Chamber for the access to this and for letting me put it here.

Oh YouTube and your denizens... THBC at Equinox, Soisong at the Experimenta Club Madrid '08, Sleazy and Ivan in Turin '08
Again from zodkia (thankyouthankyouthankyou:), this, though, is the last song from the set. I have it on good and reliable authority (gods bless you F) that while the rest of the set was from the Amulet Edition, this piece is entirely new. Lovely!
From expclub we have some short clips of Soisong's Madrid set from last year:
IcaroLondon has graced us to the pre-show antics of Sleazy and Ivan in Turin 2008 prior to the reworking of Angelic Conversation.
There appear to be a clip or two more I hadn't seen, short though they be. Do a search for Soisong at Youtube for more.
That's all, folks (at least for now)
4, 3, 2, 1, 1 Happy Solstice
Four will remain here for a little bit longer because as stated below, the sets represented thereon are available elsewhere here at wassonii. Ostensibly, all four will be on CSO and so, I leave you with 4. And now, back to the original post...
Currently, Live One and Three have sold out at the Theshold House Shop with no intent of restock until after CSO (from TH: "and when sold will be withdrawn for the time being, although video/audio and "karaoke projections" versions of most of the different Coil live shows will be available (in time for Christmas, fingers crossed!) on the much awaited Coil Video boxset; "Colour, Sound, Oblivion"")
At the time of this writing, Live Two is available in LIMITED QUANTITIES from the TH Shop.
Live Four hasn't been available for some time.
Theoretically, all of these will be on CSO, which unkle sleazE will (hopefully) be putting the finishing touches on CSO after the TG tour wraps up.
The two sets combined to form Live Four are available on this blog, just look for the Coil Live subject link.
With an ear toward making you want to, have to buy CSO, hear what will be part.
These are here for an extremely limited time.

Also, as I was looking for any uploads of THBC at Equinox Festival, I found where this had been added to the Antwerp cache.
Thank you hybryds for posting it!
Happy June, all.
PS
I don't know if I've posted these before, but they seem fresh to me now, so what the heck.

Taiga Remains: Are you yet familiar with these sounds?
I rather like the tones with which this piece plays and the manipulations of Cobb on my sonic intake. I hope you do too. Rare that I care for North American drone outside of NWW collabs and related entities(and I'm from here:), though that opinion has been changing of late I am happy to say(and somewhat chagrinned). Only fairly recently have I found my way to Students of Decay, Alex Cobb, and Taiga Remains, but it has so far been worth my investment of time for a proper listen, if you will. Really good work on this and Wax Canopy. Follow some of the links below for further infos and offerings. As always, look to the pictures to see what you can hear. Wax Canopy still available from the label. Bonus edition sold out.
Fairing's Chapel. Bonus with Taiga Remains release Wax Canopy on digitalis arts & crafts editions (limited to 500 of which this 3" was companion for the first 100). From the digitalis site: "Taiga Remains is the brainchild of Cincinnati's Alex Cobb. Over the past few years he has developed a signature sound that blurs the line between blissed-out guitar work and atonal, blown-out dirges." Sample of "returning breath" (track 2 of wax canopy) available from digitalis.
My aural initiation to taiga came about from a mild obsession with Pocahaunted. Through those searches, I came upon Spire Ground A Bored Fortress Compilation and was and still am quite enamoured with this track. The whole thing is likely still floating about, but I just had to share the TR track.

Happy New Year (as understood by the western calendars), Brainwashed Coil pages updates, a "one day only" kind of treat, WSB to make up for't?!
Happy New Year to one and all, as I'm still stuck in this here collective calendar.
Hope this finds you well.
Brainwashed is in process. From the Coil News page:
"December, 2008
Site Updates
It has been a long time since this site had some updates. Thanks for your patience while it has undergone a facelift and is slowly transitioning over old archives to new formats. In the meanwhile, the discography has been updated in the music section and will continue to be updated through the end of the year. Keep coming back for more features.
Threshold House
Apologies for the downtime on thresholdhouse.com. The shop however is still open at thresholdhouse.greedbag.com.
Brainwaves
Peter Christopherson made his first performance in the Americas at Brainwaves 2008 as Threshold Houseboys Choir. On sale was the Threshold Hosueboys Choir Amulet Edition 4xCD3 set; an exclusive track, "Cap Rot Taxi" appears on the Brainwaves 2008 3xCD compilation; and a radio interview can be heard in its entirety on the Brainwashed Podcast for a limited time.
SoiSong
Peter is back in Bangkok and is completing the SoiSong album with Ivan Pavlov at this time."
Thank the gods for brainwashed:)
For a VERY limited time, have a listen to Ape LP(for comparison purposes for those whom cannot afford it, now that ThresholdHouse is the only one with any copies YOU SHOULD GO AND BUY THIS BOXSET IF YOU HAVE THE AVAILABLE FUNDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) :
Really and Truly, this is a present from me. I had to scrape and save to buy this from Important. I love this musical entity and wish to share that feeling with you all. For what may be a few hours only...
And so the latecomers don't feel empty-handed, some Uncle Bill.
On the label Grey Matter
Transferred from the vinyl. I love the sound of William's voice with the ambient sounds of vinyl.
Good Stuffs.
From Discogs:
"Notes:
Tracks 1-8 recorded & edited by Ian Sommerville in Paris, May 1965. Released as Call Me Burroughs by Gaît Frogé's English Book Shop, Paris in October 1965. Track 9 recorded in London, 1970. Released in October 1971 on a one-sided LP with accompanying book in an edition of 99 copies by Unicorn Press, Brighton. The texts are taken, sometimes in a substantially different form, from the following sources: Tracks 1 & 2 from Naked Lunch 3, 4, 7, 8 from Nova Express 5 from The Ticket That Exploded 6 from The Soft Machine 9 from Exterminator! Front cover calligraphy by William Burroughs from the 1959 Olympia Press edition of Naked Lunch"
So that's it.
Again, the Ape is for comparison only and IS NOT the complete box, only APE.
A veritable pox on any whom abuse my gift!
GoTo Threshold House Greedbag to purchase The New Backwards, although you SHOULD have a copy already if you're reading this:)
